Maggie Wagner BIOGRAPHY

Maggie is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio, having appeared in over 40 motion pictures to her credit, among them; Richard III, Coffee Date, A-List, One Fine Day, For The Boys, Working Girl, Anna, she is among Hollywood’s elite working actress’s.
She is a native New Yorker actually born in the city. When she was seven Maggie began her quest to become an actress and begun acting classes. By the time she was eleven she was attending the Neighborhood Playhouse Children’s Acting program… this experience was not satisfying because the instructors kept her from acting rather pushing funny exercises… Maggie with her Uncle Mark Rydall

she moved on… years later her uncle director Mark Rydell encouraged Maggie to pursue her acting and to attend an adult class under the direction of Richard Pinter at the Neighborhood Playhouse.
      The year was 1983, Maggie was now studying at the HB Studios in New York with Rochelle Oliver and Sandy Dennis. Both teachers told her that she was a star in the making.. and to get out and start auditioning.. so the process began. 1985 Maggie landed the role of CINDY in The Philadelphia Company's production of TO GILLIAN ON HER 37th BIRTHDAY.
     Her uncle stepped back into her life now telling her to audition for the The Actors Studio.. she auditioned for The Actors Studio.. but she was declined… but lick was around the corner when she replaced Mary Stuart Masterson in a play at the Studio.. this was her chance to act in front of the membership and she was asked to join the select group of actors.

attending when actress Sally Kirkland noticed her. Like the generation before, Shelley Winters took Sally under her wing, Sally immediately saw enormous potential in Maggie and decided to do for her as Shelley did for her. Within a few month Sally was set to star in ANNA and Maggie was given the chance to audition and she got the part (this is how Maggie got her first Screen Actors Guild role)!
2005 Maggie attended The Sundance Film Festival with THE TALENT GIVEN US. Her brother Andrew directed the film which received rave reviews worldwide. She starred in the film, along with her sister Emily and parents Allen and Judy. "It was the ride of a Maggie Wagner

Films is the can and soon to be released in 2007/2008 are; American Cowslip she portrays Dolores Inglebrink, Taking It As It Comes; The Mary Ann Collura Story playing Lauren Collura, Seducing Spirits as the TV Broadcaster, Benny Bliss and The Disciples of Greatness as the Shopper.
No stranger to TV, Maggie has appeared in 4 TV MOW’s, Nuclear Hurricane, Trapped!, James Dean, and Don’t Drink The Water. Guest Starred on “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill” and “Dream On.”

Maggie is a good tennis player and all around athlete, and when she isn't working or playing she Teaches Acting classes to The National Theatre of the Deaf. Giving back like her mentor, Sally Kirkland and her mentor before, Shelley Winters.
